SUMMARY:Hamadohri Environmental Radiation school
DESCRIPTION:After the nuclear disaster in March 2011\, the Fukushima-Hamadohri area has become a unique educational ground for learning from both natural and social scientific viewpoints. Osaka University has been organizing the Hamadohri Environmental Radiation School since 2016. This year\, the school will be followed by the IEEE/NPSS Radiation Measurements School. In total\, a 9-day program will be held from September 9th to 17th. \nThe Hamadohri school includes soil sampling and soil measurements. Visits to evacuated areas and discussions with local people are also included. \nThe IEEE/NPSS program includes advanced measurements of the samples. Whether you are a high school teacher\, a university professor\, or a student with a passion for physics\, this demonstration is specifically designed for you. \nThe session will last about 2 hours and will be conducted by Massimo Venaruzzo (Director of CAEN India) and Cristina Mattone (Educational Product Manager). Our agenda includes a practical demonstration of our well-known kits: the Environmental Kit\, Cosmic Hunter\, GammaEdu\, and RockyRad.
