Over the past ten days, CAEN SpA has successfully concluded a comprehensive hands-on training tour dedicated to Sci-Compiler and CAEN’s second-generation digitizers, visiting five distinguished cities: Beijing, Lanzhou, Hefei, Daejeon, and Seoul.

The initiative brought together over 140 participants – including researchers, students, and engineers – who engaged in an immersive learning experience covering:

  • The architecture and key features of CAEN’s 2.0 Digitizers.

  • The design philosophy behind the Sci-Compiler graphical development environment.

  • Practical hands-on sessions using the Sci-Compiler SMART Kit for real-time firmware configuration and data acquisition development.

Far beyond a traditional seminar series, the tour fostered an environment of active experimentation. Participants configured firmware blocks, explored the graphical programming interface, and experienced first-hand how Sci-Compiler empowers the creation of advanced data acquisition systems – even without prior knowledge of VHDL.

CAEN is proud to support the expanding community of physicists and engineers across Asia who continue to push the frontiers of instrumentation in nuclear and particle physics.
