A group of high school students from Istituto Tecnico Industriale “Galileo Galilei” in Viareggio recently toured the CAEN SpA facilities as part of a project exploring local manufacturing companies.

Accompanied by their teachers, the students from Istituto Tecnico Industriale “Galileo Galilei” had the opportunity to explore the advanced facilities of CAEN SpA, located close to their school. The visit allowed them to see the production processes for sophisticated electronic components used in scientific research.

During the visit, CAEN staff introduced the students to various technologies that are utilized in research labs and major physics experiments around the world. The students observed a range of particle detectors, radiation measurement devices, and electronic instrumentation. The tour included demonstrations that explained the functions and applications of tools such as the Cosmic Hunter and GammaEdu, a portable Radiation Detector.

“The visit to CAEN SpA was informative,” said the lead teacher of the group. “It helped the students see how what they learn in the classroom connects to innovations in technology.”
