We are proud and delighted to be among the first Associate Members of IUPAP (International Union of Pure and Applied Physics). It was a truly enriching experience to take part in the satellite event of the BSBF 2024 on October 1st, focused on “The role of Academia and Industry to inspire the next STEM generation.”
This event provided a unique opportunity to share ideas and goals from multiple perspectives on the crucial importance of inspiring the next generation of STEM professionals. The collaboration between research and industry, highlighted during the discussions, is key to building a sustainable society, motivating not only future STEM employees but also future leaders and key stakeholders in our society.
Engaging young people in science is a top priority for both IUPAP and the broader scientific and technology community. The roundtable discussion, featuring representatives from major scientific research infrastructures and technology companies, showcased the significant contributions of these sectors to society and their ongoing efforts to inspire the future of STEM, starting from the high school level.
We are proud to have been part of this important conversation and look forward to continuing our efforts to shape a sustainable future through STEM education and research.
