Abstract
Radiotherapy (RT) is commonly employed for the treatment of cancer, with 50%–60% of patients requiring some form of RT, after their cancer diagnosis. RT can be divided into external beam RT (EBRT), referring to the use of a linear accelerator to deliver radiation from outside the patient’s body, or brachytherapy (BT). T can be divided into external beam RT (EBRT), referring to the use of a linear accelerator to deliver radiation from outside the patient’s body, or brachytherapy (BT), referring to the use of radioactive sources that are implanted within, or in close proximity to, the critical target.
