Eleven kits, three ways of being controlled: one shared platform, a dedicated app, or no software at all – just the module and an SD card. This page lays out what each kit needs.

HERA: one platform, three kits

Desktop, Windows. Anyone who owns more than one of these three kits installs HERA just once.

Each kit below has its own application, built around the specific experiment it runs.

SP5650 – Open FPGA Kit

Firmware built from graphical blocks; exports VHDL and C libraries.

SP5600EMU – Emulation Kit

One GUI drives both DT4800 and DT5770 to simulate detector signals.

SP5630EN

Environmental Kit – Gamma Radiation Measurements.

SP5700 – EasyPET

Real-time PET image reconstruction, Visual Basic GUI.

SP5701 – EasyPET Kit

Same control software as SP5700, paired with the DT5770 MCA.

SP5660 – RockyRAD

Educational Gamma Kit

Gamma spectroscopy, system linearity, energy resolution.

SP5640 – Backpack Radiation Detector (Gamma Edu)

Field spectrum with GPS tagging on a 10″ Android tablet (included); exports to .kmz for Google Earth.

No software required

Controls live on the module itself, data saved to an SD card.

SP5620CH – Cosmic Hunter

Built-in E Ink display, data exported via SD card.
