Environmental Radioactivity Outdoor Experiments

Minerals and materials from the earth soil are the most common sources of natural radiation. “Naturally Occurring Radionuclides” stands for radionuclides that occur naturally in significant quantities on earth. The term is usually used to refer to the primordial radionuclides Potassium-40, Uranium-235, uranium-238 and Thorium-232 (the decay product of primordial uranium-236), their radioactive decay products, and tritium and carbon-14 generated by natural activation processes. GammaEDU backpack allows the user to get acquainted with what concern the gamma environmental radioactivity.

Physics Experiments performed via the Environmental Kit. If the symbol (®) is present, extra tools are needed to perform the experiment.
